Social tennis — tennis guide
You want a social tennis evening with rotating partners and one shared table. Social tennis is always doubles.
Who can play?
At least 4 players. Available disciplines: doubles. Setup checks additional roster and court constraints before starting.
How it works
- Seed all players. Opening partners come from opposite ends: first+last, second+second-last, and so on.
- A/B labels identify the roster halves. Partners change after games and results drive court movement.
- For a draw, manually choose the side that moves upward; the score remains a draw.
A practical example
Eight people on two courts: 1+8 vs 2+7 and 3+6 vs 4+5. At Kiili tennis, court 2 is stronger and court 1 weaker.
Scoring and time
The match score and tournament points are different. Check the selected scoring profile and ranking rules before starting. Where match points are used, 3/2/1 means win/draw/loss; 2/1/0 works the same way with different values. Knockout qualification still requires a winner.
Before you start
Run two sessions, such as 16–18 and 18–20, as separate series events in the same scoring period. They can have different playing times and one combined table.
